A well polished house will sell faster and for more money than a neighbor who has not taken the time to prepare their home to be sold.  Most buyers feel more comfortable purchasing a well cared for home and are usually willing to pay more!  Before putting your home on the market, take as much time as necessary (and as little money as possible) to maximize its exterior and interior appeal.  Here are a few tips to help you:

2.  In order to see your home through the buyers eyes, you must emotionally detach yourself by depersonalizing and de-cluttering your home.  Take down family photos, clean out closets and clear all surfaces of picture frames and knick-knacks.  Your home should be neat and orderly in order to showcase it positively!  Take the time to clean, freshly paint walls using neutral colors and make repairs.

3.  Finally, potential buyers start their search for a home on line.  It is very important to make sure you choose a realtor who will showcase your home with professional photos.  Getting your home noticed on line takes pictures with professional lighting and angles to give buyers the best possible view of your property.
