Yes! While normally we have children starting violin at 8 years or older,  younger students can take violin lessons. We have teachers who specialize in teaching method (like Suzuki Method) to teach very young students  and will accept students as young as 4 years of age.

However, parents need to understand and be clear about the committment. Having a child take violin lessons at 4 years of age requires parent participation. At least one parent is asked to sit in the sessions so they can assist their child practice later in the week.

Your child will also progress rather slowly. You should not expect you're child to be playing a Mozart perfectly within months (while it is possible!). It will take years of lessons and practice to reach that stage.

All this work and committment definitely has rewards. Obviously, if a child begins lessons at the age of 4 and continue for many years, he/she will be far advance than any other violin student who starts at 8 or later.
