We just got word that the Town of Flower Mound has earned the No. 4 spot on Safewise.com's list of the "50 Safest Cities in Texas."
Safewise uses data including the FBI's 2011 Crime in the U.S. Report as well as other research to compile a list of the safest places (with at least 20,000 residents) to live in the state, and Flower Mound grabbed the fourth spot.
According to the FBI's data, the town of 66,000 had "the lowest property crime rate in Texas" (at least in its population category), not to mention the lowest property crime rate and lowest violent crime rate. Just three robberies were reported during the reporting year 2011. You can see the full list of safe cities here.
Way to go, Flower Mound!
