Katmo Ventures has named a hospitality all-star to lead its new River Walk Chapel and Water Works Hall in Flower Mound’s 158-acre mixed-use project, River Walk at Central Park. Catherine New has joined the organization as Managing Director for the exciting new wedding and special event venue.

New joins River Walk Chapel after leading the social and catering team at Dallas’ historic Statler Hotel. Prior to that, New led catering and sales management at Dallas’ Anatole Hotel.

Professionally, New has a wide array of awards and leadership honors, including serving as the president of the Dallas Chapter International Live Events Association and being awarded Meeting of the Year by the National Association of Catering and Events, DFW (NACE).

“We are excited for all of the energy and experience Catherine brings to our new event venue,” noted KATMO Co-Founder Kathie Bush. “Catherine will help event planners, brides and organizations create amazing events, and she brings an unparalleled experience to the market.”

Water Works Hall offers a very customizable layout with a maximum capacity of approximately 200 people. The venue includes a large bridal suite, scenic terrace and catering kitchen. Connecting the reception hall to River Walk Chapel is a beautiful wooden bridge overlooking the dreamy outdoor water feature, which makes the perfect backdrop for photos and easy transition from ceremony to reception.  The chapel offers an elevated circular altar with enlarged arched windows and a second floor with two Juliet balconies overlooking the ceremony below. The chapel has a maximum capacity of 210 people. Rental of both venues includes tables, crystal Chiavari chairs in the reception venue and fruitwood Chiavari chairs in the chapel, white or black linens, upgraded lighting package.
