City of Lewisville Declares July 22 “ForgeNow Career Education Day” During Ribbon-Cutting of Expande

LEWISVILLE, TX – The City of Lewisville officially proclaimed July 22 as “ForgeNow Career Education Day” in celebration of the grand opening of ForgeNow’s expanded Lewisville campus. Joined by community leaders and dignitaries, the career training center welcomed guests to explore its 73,000 sq ft facility and showcased its innovative vocational model.

State Board of Education member Julie Pickren delivered a compelling opening speech (pictured), followed by Mayor Pro Tem Ronni Cade presenting the official proclamation. Other honored attendees included Workforce Commissioner Joe Ezparza, Veterans Commissioner Chuck Wright, and U.S. Dept. of Education Policy Director Adam Flynn‑Tabloff.

ForgeNow’s accelerated, 7-week bootcamp-style training equips students—veterans, recent grads, and career changers—with job-ready skills and toolkits for careers in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and facilities maintenance. Graduates can enter the workforce with certifications and uniforms, stepping into roles earning $40,000–$60,000 annually, helping fill Texas’ growing skilled trades gap.

With over 1,300 technicians already trained at its Dallas location, the Lewisville expansion deepens the school’s regional footprint. The new campus supports local job growth and offers a meaningful pathway to careers that bolster vital infrastructure.
